The goal of the AAL Programme is to improve the quality of older people´s lives and support their families and caretakers as well as the health and care systems.

Especially during the current Coronavirus outbreak, older people need to be supported, as they are urged to stay at home where they are facing numerous challenges of social distancing.

In order to help those people in need, the AAL Programme wants to inform about various types of solutions which are available on the market today and accessible for potential users.

A number of solutions is grouped in two categories:
– “Prevention of social distancing”
– “Feeling safe and secure at home”
.
Within those categories, the AAL Programme offers various solutions like communication devices, smart sensors or mobile robots that are helping older people conquer their daily challenges while being socially isolated.
